Cummings, Keegan & Co., P.L.L.P. (CKCO) is excited to announce that Peter Maddalena, CPA has been named Leading Partner effective October 1, 2020.
Peter succeeds Kathy Klang, CPA/ABV who served as Managing Partner for 14 years. Although Kathy is stepping away from the duties as Managing Partner, she will remain active in the firm serving clients, leading the Business Valuations niche, and guiding special projects associated with the firm’s strategic goals.
“Serving as the new Leading Partner is a humbling, exciting opportunity for me. I appreciate the leadership team’s confidence and am eager to lead CKCO into the future.” Peter said. “The accounting industry is ever-changing, and year 2020 has shown that adaptability is key to a CPA firm’s longevity. I look forward to working with our talented team to drive innovation, growth, and development opportunities.”
Peter Maddalena joined Cummings, Keegan & Co., P.L.L.P. in 2003. A native Canadian, he graduated from the University of Ottawa in 1993. Peter has been a key member of the Audit and Business Consulting teams within CKCO. During his CKCO career, he has advised many business owners through all phases of business, from startup through exit planning. Internally, he has implemented numerous initiatives related to team development, innovation, and technology.
Kathy Klang says, “This is the right time for Peter to assume this role. We are confident that the clients, employees, and organization will benefit from Peter’s vision, commitment, and leadership attributes. This change will continue the Cummings, Keegan & Co. history of implementing well-planned, successful leadership transitions.
