Construction on South Highway 169 to impact commute to CK&Co. office

Heading to the St. Louis Park office for a meeting? Your drive on Highway 169 South may require a detour.

For the majority of 2017, Highway 169 South will be closed completely —¬†basically between the exits for Highway 62 and Excelsior Blvd).

Here are the highlights:

  • Project starts Jan 2017 and ends Sept 2017
  • 169 Bridge closure from Bren Rd to 5th Street/Lincoln Drive (between 62 and Excelsior Blvd basically)
  • Cedar Lake Road ramp closure for acceleration/deceleration lanes put in
  • 16th Street ramp closure(permanently) (exit just south of Hwy 394 off 169)
  • Road resurfacing will require lane closure on portions of 169 between Hwy 55 and Hwy 62
  • 169 will be open from 1 LANE ONLY both South/North bound during the construction between Excelsior Blvd and Hwy 55 with limited on/off ramps
  • Ramp closures will occur consecutively and mainly during the summer months

The ALTERNATE routes are:

SOUTHBOUND-I-394 West to I-494 South to Highway 169 South

NORTHBOUND-Highway 62 East to Highway 100 North to I-394 West to Highway 169 North

Alternate routes for the 16th Street ramp closure off southbound Hwy 169-

From I-394:

Hopkins Crossroad interchange, Wayzata Blvd (south frontage road), Ford Road

From Highway 169:

Cedar lake Road (interchange), Ford Road

Betty Crocker Drive, Shelard Parkway, Wayzata Blvd (south frontage road), Ford Road
